Location: Essex

Salary: GBP35,000-GBP40,000

A respected and long-established RIBA chartered architectural practice based in Essex is looking to recruit a motivated and technically capable Architectural Technician to join its close-knit and collaborative team. Known for delivering creative, design-focused projects across the residential, retail and commercial sectors, the studio offers the successful Architectural Technician the chance to contribute to a wide variety of high-quality schemes from initial concept through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the technical design and coordination of projects across all RIBA work stages as an Architectural Technician
  • Prepare and manage detailed technical drawings, construction information and working drawing packages
  • Assist with project delivery, including attending site visits and coordinating project information
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants and contractors to support smooth project progression
  • Contribute to planning submissions, feasibility studies and presentation material
  • Ensure all technical work complies with current UK building regulations and industry standards

About You

  • Qualification in Architectural Technology or a similar related subject
  • Previous experience working as an Architectural Technician within a UK architectural practice
  • Good knowledge of UK planning legislation, building regulations and construction techniques
  • Strong technical detailing skills combined with good design awareness
  • Proficient in relevant industry software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
