Location: Guildford

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 (dependent on experience)


A highly regarded architectural practice based in Guildford is seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join its growing team. Renowned for delivering high-quality, innovative schemes across the commercial, residential, retail, and education sectors, the practice has built an excellent reputation for its technical expertise and design-led approach.

The Role

Responsibilities

As an Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects, producing detailed design information and ensuring schemes are delivered to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing high-quality technical drawings and comprehensive construction packages across a range of sectors
  • Developing technical design information from planning approval through to construction and project completion
  • Preparing Building Regulations applications and ensuring designs comply with current UK legislation and technical standards
  • Creating, managing, and maintaining Revit models and associated project documentation
  • Coordinating technical information with clients, consultants, contractors, and the wider design team
  • Assisting with the preparation of specifications, schedules, and detailed construction documentation
  • Attending client meetings, design team meetings, and site visits as required
  • Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle and assisting with resolving construction-related issues
  • Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

About You

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

  • A qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience working within a UK architectural practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK construction methods, detailing, and building systems
  • Excellent Revit skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
  • A solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and technical compliance
  • Experience working across a variety of project sectors, which would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • The confidence to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
