Architectural Technologist
Architectural Technologist Opportunity at Plymouth Office
Bennett & Game are representing a long-established, multi-disciplinary Top 150 consultancy for their Plymouth office, offering an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join a highly technical team delivering some of the South West's most varied and complex schemes. This role would particularly suit a technically focused Architectural Technologist who enjoys the detail side of projects, producing coordinated construction packages, resolving junctions and buildability challenges. The successful Architectural Technologist will be taking ownership of technical delivery across all RIBA stages.
From their Plymouth office, you would gain exposure to a broad portfolio spanning Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential, Heritage and Fire-safety-led refurbishment work, alongside major regional projects such as local cladding remediation projects where over £15 million of government-backed remedial works has been secured. The practice typically looks for Technologists who are confident in Revit and comfortable working within a BIM-led environment. The business is also flexible on level, meaning the role and title can be shaped around the experience of the right individual.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
