Architect / Architectural Technologist
Truro, Cornwall
£40,000 – £46,000
Want to work for a developer where you can influence projects from land acquisition through to completion?
This is an opportunity to join a growing Cornish residential developer that delivers everything from small bespoke developments through to multi-phase housing schemes.
With around 20-30 projects in the pipeline and secure private funding in place, it’s an exciting time to become part of the business.
Unlike many roles, you’ll be involved in both the architectural design and technical delivery of projects. You’ll produce work in-house while also coordinating and managing external consultants, giving you exposure to the full development process.
You’ll be joining a business that combines a range of standard house types with bespoke, high-end signature developments across Cornwall. The role offers genuine variety, allowing you to develop both your architectural and technical management skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
