Role: Architectural Technologist Location: York Rate: £25 - £33 per hour (DOE) Contract: 12-Month Contract Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office) Start Date: ASAP
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join a leading healthcare-focused project team based in York. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the delivery of complex healthcare facilities, supporting projects from technical design through to construction and project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Develop and coordinate design packages using industry-standard software.
- Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, HTM/HBN guidance, and healthcare standards.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with planning submissions, technical approvals, and construction phase support.
- Coordinate project information and resolve technical design issues.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and project meetings as required.
- Support project delivery to programme, budget, and quality objectives.

Skills & Experience:
- Degree or an equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working as an Architectural Technologist within the construction or built environment sector.
- Experience delivering technical packages for healthcare, public sector, or complex building projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent technical drawing and specification writing skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Right to work in the UK.
