About The Practice

Our client is a highly respected architecture practice specialising in the design of healthcare environments across the UK and internationally. With over three decades of experience in the sector, the studio is recognised for combining strategic planning with evidence-based design to deliver facilities that support well-being, recovery, and long-term community health.

The practice works closely with healthcare providers to develop future-focused estates strategies and advanced specialist facilities across acute care, mental health, and community healthcare settings. Their work emphasises:

  • Adaptable design solutions

Responding to the evolving needs of healthcare infrastructure, the studio operates across several UK studios and projects spanning the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. It continues to expand its technical delivery capability through a large multidisciplinary architectural team.

Due to continued project growth, they are seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their London studio.

The Role

You will join a collaborative team delivering complex healthcare projects.

Your focus will be supporting the delivery of technical design information using BIM workflows, working closely with architects, consultants, and project teams to develop robust, compliant design solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Produce and coordinate technical design information using Revit and BIM workflows
  • Support project teams through design development and technical delivery stages
  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and wider design teams
  • Contribute to the delivery of complex healthcare infrastructure projects
  • Assist with problem solving and coordination across project teams

Key Requirements

  • BSc or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or HNC/HND equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a technical design role
  • Experience working on complex building projects within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong Revit proficiency and familiarity with BIM workflows
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in healthcare design projects
  • Knowledge of healthcare guidance (e.g. HBNs or Approved Documents)
  • Experience using AutoCAD alongside BIM tools
