Architectural Technologist – Well-Established Architectural Practice (Glasgow-Based)
About the Role
Our client, a well-established Architectural Practice based near Glasgow Central Station, is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for professionals with 4+ years’ experience looking to expand their careers within a highly collaborative and respected practice.
The firm employs 75 staff across multiple offices, with 25 based in Glasgow. Flexible arrangements may allow working from their Edinburgh office, including optional travel to Glasgow sites.
Part of a diverse portfolio—Commercial, Residential, Education, Leisure, Healthcare, Industrial, and Infrastructure—candidates will initially focus on major Data Centre developments, primarily within RIBA Stages 4 and 5. Projects are large-scale (construction costs ~£150m) and require strong technical input from detailed design through construction.

Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Revit mastery: Producing detailed technical drawings and construction information
- Initiating technical packages and detailed drawings for projects
- Coordinating consultants, contractors, and project teams
- Preparing specifications, attending project/site meetings, and supporting construction delivery
- Conducting site visits to monitor large-scale Data Centre projects
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- 4+ years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist
- Ability to commute to Central Glasgow
- Strong Revit proficiency (advantageous if coupled with NBS knowledge)
- Expertise in technical drawing and detailed documentation
- Experience in Commercial, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects (advantageous)
- RIBA Stages 4–5 familiarity
- Robust technical and draftsmanship skills

Salary & Benefits
- £35,000–£42,000 DOE (negotiable for standout candidates)
