New Permanent Opportunity - Area Cleaning Manager - Derbyshire, Lincolnshire & East Coast - Up to £38,000 + Company Car

Are you an experienced Cleaning Manager or Area Cleaning Manager looking for a role where you can make a real impact across a diverse retail portfolio? Do you have experience managing multiple cleaning contracts and enjoy leading teams across a large geographical area? We are recruiting for an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee a portfolio of 28 retail cleaning contracts across Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, and the East Coast. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who enjoys building strong client relationships, leading operational teams, and driving consistently high service standards.

Reporting directly to senior management, you will have full responsibility for service delivery, client satisfaction, and team performance across a varied portfolio of retail contracts.

Due to continued growth and the successful acquisition of new contracts, they are now looking to strengthen their management team with the appointment of an Area Cleaning Manager covering Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, and the East Coast.

Your Role

  • Full responsibility for contract performance, ensuring SLA and KPI targets are consistently achieved
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships across your portfolio
  • Managing cleaning teams and supervisors to ensure exceptional service delivery
  • Conducting regular site visits, audits, and quality inspections
  • Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining cleaning operatives
  • Managing labour budgets, rotas, and operational performance
  • Handling client queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements
  • Supporting the mobilisation of new contracts as the business continues to grow
  • Working closely with senior management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

About You

  • Previous experience managing multiple cleaning contracts within a commercial or retail environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent client relationship management experience
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing a geographically spread portfolio
  • Strong understanding of service delivery, KPIs, and operational performance
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ideally based within the Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, or East Coast region to effectively manage the portfolio
  • Passion for delivering high standards and developing successful teams

Location

Derbyshire, Lincolnshire & East Coast

Applicants should ideally be based within the region due to the nature of the role and the requirement for regular travel between sites.
