Cleaning Supervisor (Multi-Site)
About the Role
RESPONSIBLE TO: Cleaning Manager
JOB PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Area Cleaning Manager, plan, organise, and control the work of cleaning supervisors across a number of individual buildings to ensure service delivery meets specification within planned costs. Directly supervise 'one cleaner' buildings, e.g., libraries.
Key Areas and Main Duties
- Improve and sustain performance while encouraging all staff to identify and implement improved methods, practices, and procedures.
- Identify skill needs and assist in the implementation of training programmes.
- Advise the Cleaning Manager on the performance of all resources and propose suggestions for future changes/development.
- Establish effective working relationships with customers/clients, liaising on cleaning standards and operational issues.
- Ensure optimum staffing levels are maintained and provision of relief staff is adequate.
- Monitor staff attendance levels.
- Directly supervise small buildings where no on-site supervision is provided.
- Ensure cost-effective use of all resources.
- Monitor finished work against specifications and instigate corrective action where necessary.
- Ensure cleaning supervisors are aware of and comply with statutory Health and Safety duties.
- Advise the Cleaning Manager on personnel matters and carry out related administrative tasks.
This role is subject to periodic review. Additional duties may be assigned as appropriate for the post.
