As someone who prioritises our people and the quality of the services we provide, this role will oversee a number of services across the Consensus portfolio. We’re looking for an action-oriented and customer-focused Area Director who can lead the culture, direction, and performance of the Area.

Your Role

From ensuring your services run smoothly and achieves quality excellence, to encouraging personal growth & development of the your team - every day is unique. Through leadership and support, our Area Directors make a difference to their colleagues’ lives and the people we support - and are an integral part of ensuring everyone at Consensus has the opportunity to flourish.

Providing strong leadership to Service Managers and Teams, developing an environment that supports them to thrive and deliver their best. To be a visible and accessible leader in your services ensuring a quality, people and commercial focus including oversite of forensic services. Delivering the Area’s financial and growth targets, and the People and Quality KPI’s Working with the Managing Director and finance team to develop the annual budget and Supporting Service Managers in ensuring services are safely staffed and optimally aligned to their budget Ensuring the Service environments, both inside and out, are appropriately and adequately maintained

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

Have plenty of experience working with those with Learning Disabilities or complex behaviours, forensic cohorts and legal frameworks Significant experience working as a Manager within the Learning Disability sector, preferably Supported Living and/or Residential Care. Bring strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of working closely with the CQC and Local Authorities and other relevant MDT’s. Be confident, flexible and efficient - you’re happy to work on a shift basis and, where required, be on call. Above all, you’ll be committed to providing person-centred care that provides equitable opportunities to all of those you’re working for.
