Summary

Lead a high-performing fresh production team across forming and packing operations on a permanent Thursday to Sunday, 12-hour shift pattern.

The Role

As a Fresh Line Manager, you'll oversee the preparation and manufacturing process on shift, making the best use of your people, materials, and equipment to hit production targets. You'll uphold site standards across safety, quality and output, keeping hourly data capture up to date and escalating issues to management when needed.

Pay rate: £14.04 per hour

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Managing effective communication on shift, including hourly liaison with departments and SIC meetings to resolve production issues
  • Ensuring smooth handovers between shifts
  • Supporting the development, training and motivation of shift personnel, managing attendance and contributing to appraisals and disciplinary processes as required
  • Making sure all materials (packaging, cases, labels, tape) are available to lines ahead of manufacture
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient use of personnel, equipment and machinery throughout the shift
  • Completing shift KPIs, audits and maintaining GMP standards across the site
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities and delivering site improvement targets
  • Liaising with agencies to maintain line manning levels and contributing to labour planning
  • Ensuring all health and safety requirements are met and accident investigations are completed and closed out promptly
  • Conducting return to work interviews following absence or holiday
  • Maintaining traceability and product integrity throughout the shift

  • Experience in a factory environment at Team Leader level or above
  • A proven track record of leading production teams effectively
  • Previous experience within the food sector
