We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join the Lucy & Yak Retail Team!

Ready to bring your fabulous retail energy to a rapidly growing brand? If you are enthusiastic about retail and have a fantastic track record of developing winning teams in a fast-paced business, we want to hear from you!

Joining our close-knit Retail Team, you will be the ultimate champion of the in-store experience and the driving force behind the business performance across your patch of stores. You will be responsible for driving and tracking key objectives to smash our sales and financial goals, all while supporting our stores in spreading brand joy through truly memorable customer experiences. You will oversee all the magic, managing profit, people, and processes throughout your area. Above all, you are an inspiring leader who loves nothing more than to grow, develop, and uplift motivated and energetic teams.

What will you be doing?

Brand

  • Live and breathe our brand by modelling the company's behaviours, vision, mission, and values every single day.
  • Empower our Store Teams to boost brand awareness and deep affinity at every possible customer touchpoint.
  • Team up with the Head of Retail to dream up, drive, and review brilliant retail operations.

Experience

  • Be fiercely people-driven by fostering a customer-centric culture where every single interaction goes above and beyond, creating meaningful and memorable experiences.
  • Level up our customer interactions by fully implementing and championing the unique Lucy & Yak Customer Experience.
  • Support your Store Managers in nailing their merchandising, keeping our core brand message consistent while letting each store's unique personality, creativity, and style shine bright.

Sales

  • Take charge of the financial health and profitability of your area, driving revenue and completely exceeding targets.
  • Keep a sharp eye on sales and costs, actively coaching your Store Managers to boost their own commercial superpowers and financial acumen.
  • Gather and research business insights from your area to formulate regular, action-packed trade analyses and feedback loops.

Team

  • Hit the road for weekly store visits to cheer on, manage, and inspire your team members! You'll lead by example, dish out instant feedback and coaching, and nurture a deeply supportive, positive work environment.
  • Be the ultimate day-to-day rock for your Store Managers, ensuring all objectives are smashed, standards are sparkling, and store teams are perfectly set up for success.
  • Partner with the Head of Retail to brilliantly launch compliance practices, policies, and exciting new training initiatives.

  • You possess strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills to keep all the plates spinning smoothly.
  • You bring a stellar track record of developing strong talent and guiding teams through fast-paced changes, complete with solid experience navigating various HR and ER situations.
  • You bring 5+ years of customer-facing management experience under your belt, with a proven track record of leading multiple retail sites and opening new stores.
  • Ready to Roam: You are willing and available to travel across the UK, with the flexibility to work weekends depending on what the business needs.
  • You've got the financial management experience needed to drive top-line sales, decode reporting data, manage payroll budgets, and confidently control expenses.

Based in south of UK (desirable)

The Details

  • Salary £42,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • Hybrid/Remote role with frequent travel to our Retail Stores
  • Permanent full-time role
  • 4 day/30 hour week with full-time salary
