Role Description
The Area Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cwmbrân, responsible for overseeing service delivery across multiple client locations. The Area Manager will lead and support site teams, ensuring soft FM services are delivered to agreed standards, and that spaces are clean, safe, secure, and well maintained.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Managing staffing levels and schedules
- Monitoring performance and quality
- Conducting site visits and audits
- Addressing operational issues promptly
The role involves building strong client relationships, responding to service requests, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. The Area Manager will also manage budgets, report on operational performance, and support the rollout of data-led processes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities management, soft FM, or related service operations, with responsibility for multiple sites or contracts.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, and workforce scheduling.
- Client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and resolve issues.
- Operational and organizational skills, including site auditing, quality control, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Comfort with data-led tools and reporting, including using systems or platforms to monitor performance and support decision-making.
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards relevant to cleaning, security, and soft FM services.
- Ability to work on-site across multiple locations in the Cwmbrân area, with flexibility for occasional extended hours when required.
- Relevant qualification or training in facilities management, operations management, or a related field is advantageous.
- Full UK driving license and access to transport would be beneficial for multi-site responsibilities.
