Area Manager – Customer Fulfilment (CF) – Amazon (Amazon UK Services Ltd.)
About the Role
Join Amazon as an Area Manager and gain experience leading a diverse team to ensure your area of business meets customer demand while contributing to Amazon’s mission of being Earth’s most customer-centric company.
In this hands-on role, you’ll:
- Learn about the complexity of operations at a global business

- Collaborate with colleagues to address challenges and maintain seamless operations
This position offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills while delivering operational excellence across our Fulfilment Centres (the ‘First Mile’).
Key Job Responsibilities
- Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing for your team and site
- Analyse and implement operational changes to ensure consistently high quality and productivity
- Oversee projects optimising processes to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and improve service quality for customers
- Monitor and analyse shift performance against business objectives, implementing actions to improve operational excellence
- Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices

A Day in the Life
Your core focus will be:
- Maintaining safety standards across your team and site
- Prioritising team management tasks, operational duties, and escalations
- Driving process improvement work, managing efficiency, and planning operational contingencies
- Serving as a mentor and role model to junior managers, helping develop leadership skills

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or relevant practical/technical experience
- Experience working with stakeholders -Proven ability to use data to drive business decisions
- Experience in people management
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a distribution centre, logistics, or manufacturing environment
