Area Manager - East Scotland (Field Based)

Job Description

The Role

To support our growth, we are looking for an Area Manager who embodies our collaborative, forward-thinking culture and is ready to take on new challenges every day.

In this role, you will lead with substance, foster an inclusive environment, and drive sustainable brand profit across your area.

What You Will Take On

  • Leading Others: Recruit exceptional talent and coach your team for long-term success. Spot individual strengths to build a high-performing team while engaging and empowering managers to take responsibility.
  • Inclusive Culture: Encourage diversity to build fully inclusive teams where everyone feels valued and can thrive together. Support the wellbeing of your team with genuine empathy.
  • Clear Communication: Deliver clear, positive, and succinct updates. Handle a rapid flow of information efficiently, ensuring your teams have the knowledge they need.
  • Leading Self: Act with complete integrity, taking responsibility for doing the right thing. Collaborate closely with your peers and Regional Manager to achieve wider business goals.
  • Project Management: Take accountability for business initiatives from start to finish, ensuring they deliver a positive outcome.
  • Financial Decisions: Maintain an expert understanding of all factors affecting business profit, making impactful decisions that safeguard our future success.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with external organizations and work seamlessly with internal departments to maximize property opportunities.

What You Will Bring

  • Retail Management Expertise: Proven experience operating as a multi-site manager or an experienced store manager within a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Commercial Performance: A track record of analyzing business data and market changes to make impactful decisions that drive commercial growth and brand profit.
  • Team Development: Experience identifying talent, managing diverse teams, and coaching managers to establish a culture of accountability.
  • Change Delivery: Demonstrated ability to implement brand initiatives, reinvent operational processes, and guide multi-site teams through strategic change efficiently.
