Area Manager - Yorkshire (Sheffield) - Award Winning Nursery Group

Salary: up to £45k +7.5% bonus opportunity + car allowance

Are you a passionate leader with a knack for nurturing outstanding childcare? We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Area Manager to oversee and inspire within our Yorkshire-based childcare network.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team, providing guidance and support to achieve performance targets.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation purposes.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a valid driving licence for travel as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, implementing improvements as necessary.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Passion for Early Years: Advocating for all children, with empathic understanding around various needs.
  • Financial Savvy: Confident with budgets, profit & loss reports, and financial planning or the desire to learn.
  • Tech Know-How: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of Ofsted legislation, safeguarding, health & safety, GDPR, EHO, and quality compliance.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Delivering exceptional service to families and the community.
  • Leadership with Heart: Strong people management skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire teams with kindness.
  • A driver’s licence & access to your own method of transport – regular travel will be a requirement for the role, covering Wakefield, Huddersfield, Sheffield & Rotherham

Your Qualifications & Experience:

  • Preferred Graduate childcare related Degree, however if you hold a foundation degree or L3, we will consider this for the right person!
  • A Minimum two year’s nursery leadership experience
  • A proven track record in managing Ofsted inspections, achieving Good or Outstanding ratings.
  • Passion for sustainability and outcomes for children.
  • Organisation and compliance are second nature to you.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role
  • Experience of M&A integrations
