About The Role

We are partnering with a fast-growing restaurant group to recruit a people-focused Area Manager for key locations across Scotland. This role involves leading multi-site operations, driving operational excellence, and fostering team development to meet business goals.

This is a dynamic opportunity to shape growth within an expanding business, with a clear career progression to Regional Manager. No two days will be routine—your impact will drive change and development across your region.

Key Responsibilities

Management & Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Store/Restaurant Managers to deliver consistent, high-performing operations.
  • Set and drive goals alignment among teams while ensuring accountability and improving commercial outcomes.

Operations & Standards

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance in:
    • Health & Safety
    • Customer experience & satisfaction
    • Productivity vs. payroll performance
    • Commercial & operational standards

Strategy & Improvement

  • Analyse regional performance data to devise strategies improving:
    • Team productivity
    • Customer retention
    • Operational efficiency

People & Culture

  • Identify training needs and support succession planning.
  • Implement development programmes for high-potential team members.

Compliance & HR

  • Ensure full adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage HR-related matters (e.g., disciplinary processes, performance reviews).

Requirements

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven experience as an Area Manager, Cluster Manager, or Regional Manager in hospitality, retail, or similar leadership role.
  • Background in a customer-focused, people-led industry (e.g.):
    • Hospitality, Quick-Service Restaurants (QSR), food retail
    • Retail (fashion, department stores, general merchandise)
  • Track record of developing high-performing teams towards productivity and staff retention goals.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a focus on driving profitability.
