At Eastleigh Borough Council, our Street Services Team plays a vital role in keeping our communities clean, safe, and thriving. Based in Hedge End, our teams deliver essential front-line services including street cleansing and waste operations—services that make a visible difference to every resident across the Borough.

We’re now offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven professional to lead these key service areas as our new Area Manager.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our residents continue to receive the highest standards of service delivery. You will lead a large, multi-functional team, using your expertise in street cleansing or waste operations to support, develop, and inspire staff to achieve excellence.

Special Conditions Of The Role

  • This is an office and site-based position.
  • Standard working hours: 37 hours per week (typically 05:30–13:30)
  • Flexibility is essential, with occasional work required outside normal hours, including some Saturdays after Bank Holidays and during the Christmas period
