Area Merchandiser | Scotland & North England | Up to £28,000

Location & Type

  • Location: Central Belt (Edinburgh & Glasgow)
  • Salary: Up to £28,000
  • Role Type: Full Time | Permanent | Regional Travel

The Opportunity

We’re recruiting an Area Merchandiser to support a leading beauty retail operation across Scotland.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll:

  • Visit stores and implement standardised merchandising strategies
  • Support new product launches
  • Coach and train merchandisers
  • Ensure outstanding merchandising standards in every location
  • Act as the go-to expert for your assigned region and build strong local relationships

You’ll manage your own region, increasing autonomy as you progress.


Your Responsibilities

As an Area Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Regular visits across assigned stores in your region
  • Merchandising all new launches and range changes
  • Ensuring planogram and merchandising standards compliance through audits
  • Coaching and training merchandisers on best practices
  • Troubleshooting store-related issues and identifying areas of improvement
  • Building strong relationships with store teams
  • Providing written reports and photographic feedback on merchandising

What We’re Looking For

Relevant Experience

Required:

  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment (e.g., Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Team Leader, etc.)
  • Prior coaching/development experience (helpful but not essential)
  • Strong communication, organisation, and self-driven skills
  • Confidence to work independently
  • Availability to travel regionally, including staying away overnight when required

Ideal (but new to the role):

  • Previous experience in merchandising, training, or retail auditing

Technical Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle (company car not provided)
  • Fast-paced retail background (or switching from a fast-paced industry)
