Area Merchandiser | Central Belt – Edinburgh & Glasgow | Up to £28,000


Location: Scotland & North England Salary: Up to £28,000 Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Regional Travel Required Vital Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle mandatory.

About the Role

Are you an experienced retail professional who thrives independently, supports store teams and delivers measurable impact? This Area Merchandiser role goes well beyond standard merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of your Edit Archivado’your assigned region (Edinburgh & Glasgow area).
  • Plan & execute new product launches and range changes.
  • Audit stores for merchandising standards, planogram compliance and stock availability.
  • Coach, mentor and train merchandisers to elevate performance and standards.
  • Troubleshoot challenges, provide practical solutions and optimise store operations.
  • Build strong relationships with store teams and client contacts, acting as their regional expert.
  • Perticipate in detailed reports and photographic feedback post-visit.

Requirements

Essential:

  • A fast-paced retail background that demands self-motivation across multiple locations.
  • Merchandising experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Helperful skills:

  • Expertise in coaching, training or team support.
  • Mastery of electronic reporting and visual merchandising.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving confidence.

Personal Attributes:

  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively (including occasional overnight stays).

Vital Eligibility:

  • Full UK driving licence with a proven, reliable vehicle.

Ideal background:

  • Store/Project leadership roles (e.g., Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Regional Merchandiser).
  • Experience in retail training, merchandising, field marketing or customer operations—proving you’ve successfully endorsed high standards and delivered exceptional in-store experiences.
