Area Operations Director - Southwest Region

We are looking for an Area Operations Director to lead our Southwest region. This is a field and home-based role, and applicants should be based within the Southwest of England, ideally between Gloucestershire and Exeter, to support regular travel across our clinics.

Our Area Operations Directors are inspirational leaders with full accountability for the performance of their portfolio of approximately 12 clinics. As the fastest-growing group in UK dentistry, we are looking for exceptional operational leaders to help drive the next phase of our growth. About You

You build strong relationships through your energy, authenticity, and engaging leadership style. You inspire teams to achieve exceptional results through a clear vision, high standards, and effective coaching.

You will bring significant multi-site operational leadership experience within a premium consumer-facing business and understand the importance of delivering an outstanding customer journey. Experience within private dentistry or another healthcare environment would be advantageous.

The Area Operations Director ensures our clinics develop and execute strategies that enable long-term growth and success. You must be brilliant at seeing things from a patient's perspective, ensuring every clinic provides an exceptional environment where clinicians thrive and deliver high-quality care to more patients each year.

As an Area Operations Director, your role is to make this possible by building outstanding local leadership and ensuring every patient interaction is carefully considered. Patients should receive all appropriate treatment options, and hospitality should be at the heart of every experience. You must be highly influential, proactive, and accountable.

We are a rapidly scaling business within the exciting and expanding private dental sector, a constantly evolving consumer healthcare space. Set up in 2014, and still owned and operated by the original founders, we are a privately owned group with a clear strategy to “Redefine Group Dentistry”. We buy great clinics and help them prosper at new levels. Our clinics are all unique and individual but united by a focus on the premium provision of high-quality private dental treatments and exceptional customer service.

We're looking for a highly commercial operational leader who thrives on autonomy, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and has the adaptability to lead effectively within a collaborative matrix organisation.

Your primary focus will be enabling clinic teams to realise their full potential, delivering sustainable EBITDA growth by improving patient experience, commercial performance, and operational excellence. You'll also play a key role in integrating newly acquired practices into the Envisage network.

This role will cover a carefully defined and manageable number of clinics, ensuring you have the focus and capacity to provide meaningful leadership and deliver sustainable results.

You will demonstrate or be:

  • A strong commercial leader with demonstrable evidence of sustainable EBITDA growth across multi-site platforms
  • Equally comfortable thinking strategically and working hands-on when required
  • A leader who creates full accountability throughout the clinics and strong local management, inspiring a culture of continued improvement
  • Able to communicate with confidence and credibility at every level, from clinic teams through to the Board
  • Naturally inquisitive with a proactive approach, quick to identify issues, make sound decisions, and deliver results
  • A nuanced, collaborative style and the agility to manage your business where every clinic is different and unique, staying true to our hyper local operating model
  • A true understanding of the importance of a great patient journey - able to identify opportunities and turn these into results
  • Able to influence all stakeholders from local clinic managers and clinicians to support managers and subject matter experts
