Area Pharmacy Manager
Area Pharmacy Manager Location: Derbyshire (Derby, Mansfield, Chesterfield) Salary: £65,000 + benefits package Sites: 22 pharmacies
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead and develop our network of 22 community pharmacies across Derbyshire. You'll be responsible for driving operational excellence, team performance, and patient care standards while supporting our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Operational leadership across all 22 sites, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and consistent service delivery People management – recruiting, developing, and retaining pharmacy teams; managing performance and succession planning Commercial performance – delivering against sales, margin, and cost targets; identifying growth opportunities Service development – expanding NHS and private services, driving uptake of Pharmacy First and other clinical offerings Compliance & governance – maintaining GPhC standards, conducting audits, and managing risk Stakeholder engagement – building relationships with NHS commissioners, PCNs, and local healthcare partners

What We're Looking For Essential: Proven multi-site pharmacy management experience Strong track record of delivering operational and commercial results Excellent leadership and people development skills Sound understanding of community pharmacy regulations and NHS services Full UK driving licence Preferred: GPhC-registered Pharmacist Experience managing multiple sites Background in independent or regional pharmacy groups
