Area Relief Chef

Area Relief Chef

Required to provide cover at our Care Homes Castle Lodge, Westbury Court, Stanton Court, and Summer Lane.

We are no longer accepting applications for sponsorship.

Hours: 40 hours per week, working weekends on rota

THE REGIONAL RELIEF CHEF ROLE

  • Supporting various kitchen teams by providing shift cover for a cluster of our homes across various northern locations
  • Helping the Chef Managers manage the catering teams.
  • Assisting the Chef Managers in promoting and monitoring food hygiene and safety standards, carry out risk assessments, and ensure the kitchen is cleaned to a high standard
  • Providing Holiday and Sickness cover across the region as directed
  • Responsible for the kitchen and staff in the Chef Manager's absence
  • Assisting the Chef Managers with Menu planning

About You

We are looking for an experienced Chef, who is proactive, passionate, and ambitious to support us and ensure they are delivering a 5* food experience.

You will…

  • Have a friendly and approachable demeanor because you will have contact with our residents, their guests, and family
  • Experience as a Relief Chef and working within a catering environment
  • Valid Driving License
  • Access to own transport is essential as travel is a fundamental part of this role.
  • Ability to cover sites across the region.
  • Valid food hygiene certificate.
  • A passion for producing high-quality food.
  • Can-do attitude!
  • Be able to take initiative and responsibility
  • City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering for the Hospitality Industry
  • Ideally over 3 years’ experience as a Chef or in a similar environment and role
