About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer with a passion for growth and development. The position includes:
- Working across multiple client premises to cover holiday and sickness absences.
- Training with the potential to transition into a fixed shift pattern if opportunities arise.
- Advancement opportunities: internal promotions are encouraged. If a permanent role becomes available, eligible candidates will be contacted first.
This vacancy requires flexibility, as you will work various shifts, including weekends, at the following times:
- 0530–0930
- 0800–1600
- 1700–2100
- 0900–2100
- 0530–1730

Requirements
- Essential:
- A valid SIA Front-Line License
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus
- Ability to work to deadlines while multitasking under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Software Packages (e.g., Excel)
- Full UK Driving License plus own vehicle or reliable transport
- Capable of achieving vetting to BS7858 Standards
- Enthusiasm for career development and internal progression
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain rigorous surveillance of the site via regular patrols, recording efforts as per Corps and Customer Requirements.
- Ensure visitor and contractor adherence to site safety procedures, including:
- Managing sign-ins and sign-outs
- Recording delivery entries and exits with associated paperwork (per site quality procedures)
- Set/unset primary and secondary alarm systems where required.
- Complete compliance documentation, including:
- Daily occurrence log
- Shift handover reports
- Incident/accident records
- Site-specific reports
- Familiarise yourself with key documents, such as:
- Assignment Instructions
- Risk Assessments
- Quality and safety records
- Continually update personal training records via the Corps Colleague Portal, meeting compliance standards (e.g., First Aid and Fire Marshal training).
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as directed.
