We have an exciting opportunity for a results-driven Area Sales & Specification Manager to oversee and expand our Wall Protection sales and specification within the Southeast and London regions.

Base and geographical area

You will be based at home with approximately 60% travel throughout the Southeast & London (in conjunction with existing team members).

The role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager - Wall Protection & Industry, you will focus on driving sales growth, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring that our products are specified in major projects across various sectors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets for the Wall Protection product range within the Southeast & London area while building a ‘3 year plan’ business plan for growth in the region outside of Healthcare.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 & 2 main contractors, architects, specifiers and end-users to promote Gradus & Gerflor products as well as regularly organising CPD seminars with specifiers.
  • Project Specification: Ensure Gradus Wall Protection systems are specified in key projects by providing technical support, product presentations, CPDs and tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with Key Account Managers in all market sectors to help drive growth in new areas outside of healthcare.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project specifications using the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the internal design, technical, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

About You

This role is suited to an experienced sales professional with a successful track record; it would be an advantage to have existing contacts and experience within building products.

You’ll be confident in proposing and delivering strong practical innovative business plans and have a collaborative approach to motivate others but within a largely autonomous role.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales and specification ideally within the construction or interior products industry, preferably with a focus on wall protection or related products would be a bonus but not essential.
  • Strong network of contacts within the architectural and design community in the Southeast & London regions.
  • Tier 1 & 2 main contractor experience would preferable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Hands on person that that is willing to work on every part of the project, from specifications to site meetings.
  • Ability to deliver on multiple and complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently to achieve targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
