Area Sales Executive

Area Sales/Business Development Manager – South West (Electrical & Energy Sector)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Sales/Business Development Manager to drive new business across Southern England within a well-established and growing manufacturer in the electrical and energy management sector.

This role involves consultative, specification-led sales to a range of clients beyond the West South — electrical contractors, consultants, OEMs, panel builders, wholesalers, and distribution partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts across electrical and energy markets
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in assigned geographical territory
  • Enable the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing deals
  • Act as a trusted technical adviser, providing specification-led solutions to customers

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven track record in field sales, business development, or technical sales roles
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, or engineered products
  • Experience selling to commercial/industrial markets
  • Expertise in relationship-building and business development
  • Ability to manage territory independently with minimal supervision
