Position Summary
At Swegon we are recruiting for two experienced Area Sales Managers. One to cover the South East of the UK; including London and another to cover the South West, including Bristol and the South of Wales. This role will be primarily required to develop and gain new business in the HVAC and Building Services sectors for Swegon ACH Business Unit. The purpose of the role is to increase the awareness of the Swegon brand within the UK and increase market share and grow sales of all product ranges. The role involves approximately 80% account management and 20% new business. Targets and sectors are identified with resources provided by the company.
Although this is a remote working role, there may be the requirement to attend one or multiple of our locations across the UK, depending on the needs of the business. The ideal candidates would therefore need to be located in or around London or the South East of the UK, or to be located in the South West of the UK or South Wales.
Please note we are not able to consider applicants unless there is evidence of a minimum of 2 years experience within a HVAC industry role.
Main duties and responsibilities:
(This is not an exhaustive list and is subject to change depending on the needs of the business)
- To promote the products and services offered by Swegon UK to the HVAC and Building Services markets, covering M&E consultants and contractors.
- To sell and promote products and services to end users and design consultants.
- Work towards and achieve planned targets.
- Ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded, communicating effectively at all times.
- Provide an appropriate electronic or paper work audit trail that is in line with company standards and requirements.
- Maintain a level of account management of live and new accounts gained.
- Arrange client meetings with both existing customers and potential customers to identify requirements with the view to gaining orders.
- Offer a good level of communication, technical advice and guidance on customer requirements in order to build and maintain relationships.
- Provide informative technical presentations to consulting groups & M&E contractor businesses.
- Attend sales meetings periodically with the sales team, presenting a report on the activities in your location that includes matters of strategic interest to the business.
- Update the Company bespoke sales database to maintain current and correct information of contacts, addresses, and activities whenever the opportunity arises.

Essential Experience
- B2B field sales (min 3 years)
- Able to demonstrate a proven sales track record
- Deal with engineering consultants & contractors
- HVAC product knowledge and sales
- Identifying sales opportunities and leads
- Client bookings and meetings
- Capturing potential customer details
- Identifying customer needs, requirements and specifications
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE / A Level or equivalent, (including IT)
- General technical aptitude/knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or Building Services qualification
- Product experience and training for HVAC or associated equipment
