Visum Recruitment is delighted to be working with a growing business within the wastewater and pumping solutions sector, who are seeking an Area Sales Manager (Northern Region) to join their expanding team.

This is a field-based role focused on developing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities and supporting customers with the design, installation and maintenance of pumping solutions across the UK.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth, managing customer accounts and building long-term relationships with contractors, developers, consultants and end users.

Role Overview

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets
  • Identify new sales opportunities and develop relationships with new and existing customers
  • Generate enquiries, follow up quotations and secure orders in line with company objectives
  • Support customers with technical and commercial requirements relating to pumping solutions
  • Build and maintain a strong project pipeline, tracking opportunities from enquiry through to completion
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, customer information and opportunity tracking

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience within technical sales, business development or account management
  • Background within pumping, wastewater, water, civils, M&E or related engineering sectors
  • Strong understanding of solution-based selling and managing customer relationships
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants, developers or end users
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence
