Role Description
The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role covering the North of England and the Midlands. The successful candidate must be based within, or willing to be based within, this territory, as the role requires regular travel to visit clients and showroom partners across the region. This position involves managing and growing sales within the assigned North/Midlands territory, building strong relationships with showroom partners, distributors, and key accounts, and ensuring that Plus39ltd's Italian ceramic brands are effectively represented. The Area Sales Manager will monitor sales performance, prepare reports and forecasts, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure reliable stock availability and timely order fulfilment. The role also includes:
- Gathering market feedback
- Supporting marketing initiatives
- Representing the company at trade events and showroom launches when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in field sales or area sales management, preferably within ceramics, interiors, building materials, or related sectors.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and account management skills with the ability to develop and maintain long-term customer partnerships.
- Ability to understand and present product features, design concepts, and merchandising solutions in a clear, commercially focused manner.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including territory planning, visit scheduling, and reporting.
- Must be located in, or within easy reach of, the North of England or Midlands, and comfortable traveling regularly throughout this territory; valid UK driving licence required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with confident presentation abilities to groups and individuals.
- Proficiency in basic office and CRM software for tracking opportunities, pipeline, and customer interactions.
- Experience in working with premium brands or design-led products and an interest in Italian design is advantageous.
- Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
