Area Sales Manager – Video Telematics & Fleet Technology

Are you a driven, results-focused sales professional with a passion for technology and business development? We’re seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to help expand our presence in the fast-evolving video telematics and vehicle tracking market.

About the Role

As an Area Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of generating revenue by:

  • Identifying high-potential business opportunities
  • Developing strong, trusting client relationships
  • Delivering customised fleet technology solutions to commercial fleets across multiple industries

Your days will be spent: ✔ In-person client meetings ✔ Managing your own sales pipeline ✔ Securing profitable contracts


Key Responsibilities

Business & Sales

  • Generate new leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold outreach
  • Identify opportunities within logistics, transport, construction, utilities, and commercial fleets
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs
  • Oversee the sales cycle from lead discovery to contract signing

Customer Engagement & Solution Selling

  • Conduct demonstrations of:
    • Video telematics
    • Vehicle tracking
    • Dash cameras
    • Fleet management software
  • Tailor quotations and proposals to client-specific needs
  • Build long-term relationships with fleet operators and decision-makers

Account Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
  • Stay updated on:
    • Industry trends
    • Competitor activity
    • Emerging technologies

Essential Requirements

  • Proven B2B field sales experience (preferably in technology or fleet solutions)
  • Strong new business development skills and a hunter mindset
  • Outstanding communication & presentation abilities
  • Resilient, self-driven, and competitive
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for fieldwork)
  • Ability to self-manage your territory and appointments
