Overall Position Objective
As Area Sales Manager you will be allocated an area within the UK and will be ultimately responsible for building and maintaining strong long-term customer relationships within those areas with the aim to achieve agreed business goals.
Job Role
- Fully accountable for managing, developing and building both existing and new customer base across area for both brands
- Account management in analysing sales figures, providing reports and offering solutions depending on customers needs
- Identifying new prospective customers/opportunities
- Develop strategic plans to achieve agreed objectives and outcomes set within KPIs
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, providing relevant information, reports and making recommendations to expedite the resolution and to maximize customer satisfaction
- Ability to create and adjust content to deliver sales presentations tailored to the audience/customer requirements
- Implement/review customer specific pricing (Including Price Increases)
- Prepare, implement, maintain and regularly review agreed business plans to ensure set objectives are being met
- Participate in development programs as required
- Participate in employee dialogue/appraisal/review process with line manager
- Compiling and analysing sales figures/reports (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually)
- Provide a weekly/monthly area forecast
- Providing key market insight including changes in customer requirements, interests, competitor activity, newly launched products, etc
- To achieve agreed sales budget in all accounts volume, value, margin
- Plan, execute and evaluate all campaigns
- Responsibility for organizing daily work schedule and administration
- Responsibility to remain up to date of changes/developments within professional field
- Ensures required/set deadlines are met
- Collaborate with wider business to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
- Communicate all marketing and public relations activities to all accounts
- Support other Area Sales Managers including, new starter training, holiday cover, etc

Criteria for Successful Performance
- Confident, self-motivated, driven, and dynamic
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-growing, target-driven environment
- Prioritising, time management and organisation skills
- Competent knowledge of MS Office (Including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams)
- Excellent time management skills
- Demonstrates resilience
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to capitalize on opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Presentation Skills (one to one and group)
- Business Calculations
- Proven track record in delivering on set targets/sales
- Understanding of different sales techniques and pipeline management
- Analytical, Forecasting, Problem Solving and Cost Management skills
- Proven track record in Account/Territory Management
- Staffing trade exhibitions and promotional events (As required)
- Attend required sales meetings (Various Locations)
- Overnight stays and home office working will be required
- Full UK driving licence
