About This Role
Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Waste & Recycling Sales professional looking for your next challenge? This Area Sales Manager position is focused on winning new business across the Waste, Recycling and Municipal sectors, delivering contract hire, rental and fleet solutions that help customers operate more efficiently.
- Develop new business opportunities for waste, recycling and municipal equipment and fleet contract hire solutions within a designated region.
- Target local authorities, waste management companies, recycling operators, environmental contractors and commercial fleet operators.
- Promote rental and contract hire solutions for Refuse Collection Vehicles, municipal equipment and specialist fleet assets.
- Manage opportunities through the complete sales process, from prospecting through to contract award.
- Deliver revenue growth, fleet utilisation and new business targets across the territory.
About You
You are a commercially focused sales professional who enjoys opening new doors and building long-term customer relationships. You understand the challenges facing the waste, recycling and municipal sectors and have the credibility to engage with decision makers across both public and private organisations.
- Previous business development or sales experience within waste, recycling, municipal, environmental or specialist fleet sectors.
- Existing relationships within local authorities, waste operators, recycling businesses or contractors would be highly advantageous.
- Experience selling contract hire, rental solutions, municipal equipment, RCVs or commercial vehicle services.
- Confidence managing lengthy sales cycles, tender opportunities and procurement processes.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term partnerships.
