About the Role
As an Area Sales Manager (Cutting), you will drive sales performance and market share growth across your assigned region. You’ll take a key role in executing ESAB’s European growth strategy, fostering strong customer relationships, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and profit growth in the allocated region
- Execute ESAB’s EU Cutting growth strategy
- Build and strengthen relationships with distributors and direct customers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Develop and implement regional sales and territory plans
- Utilize sales tools and frameworks:
- Value Selling
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Power BI
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
- Provide regular feedback and insights to sales leadership
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Product teams
- Ensure compliance with ESAB policies, values, and safety standards
- Promote and drive a strong safety culture
- Efficiently manage time and territories

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
✅ 5+ years of experience in sales of capital goods (preferably in welding/cutting) ✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience ✅ Strong technical understanding and ability to present solutions ✅ Proven ability to drive sales growth and close complex deals ✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills ✅ Experience working with distributors and key account management ✅ Ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities
Additional Requirements
✔ Fluent in English (+ local language preferred) ✔ Valid driving license ✔ Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) ✔ Proficient in IT skills, including:
- MS Office
- CRM systems
- Reporting tools
