We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Area Sales Manager to join our team at our Wymondham Branch in Norfolk.

Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling new and used agricultural machinery and associated equipment within a designated territory. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with industry knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service while growing sales and developing long-term customer partnerships.

About the Role

As an Area Sales Manager you will spend the majority of your time engaging with customers, identifying opportunities, demonstrating products, and providing expert advice on machinery and equipment solutions. You will play a key role in representing our dealership and trusted portfolio of brands, ensuring customers receive a first-class experience from initial enquiry through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers within your territory
  • Promote and sell a range of new and used agricultural machinery and associated equipment
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and maximise sales potential within the designated area
  • Represent the dealership professionally at customer events, demonstrations, exhibitions, and trade shows
  • Demonstrate machinery and equipment to customers where required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, industry developments, and market trends
  • Ensure machinery deliveries are completed in line with manufacturer and company standards
  • Provide outstanding customer service throughout the sales journey

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in agricultural machinery sales, service, parts, or a related sector
  • Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry and machinery products
  • A proven ability to influence, negotiate, and successfully close sales opportunities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A target-driven mindset with the ambition to achieve and exceed objectives
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own territory
  • Professional, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering excellent service
  • Full UK driving licence

Additional Information

  • Start Date: Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Location: Wymondham, Norfolk NR18 0NN
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week – 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch) Additional hours as required which may include weekends as per rota especially during peak periods e.g. Harvest
  • Contract: Permanent, Full time, Salaried
  • Salary: £Competitive, dependent upon experience plus commission and company car
  • Benefits: 32 days annual leave including bank holidays, Company Sick Pay Scheme, Workplace Pension, Employee Referral Bonus Scheme, Winter Flu Jab Service, Wellbeing Focus Group, Staff Discount in Country Stores and Life Assurance Cover (2 x salary)
