Salary Range: £44,000–£53,000 (negotiable) + Commission Scheme

About the Role
The Area Sales Manager – Door Hardware & Screens will be responsible for:
- Selling a designed and manufactured range of door screens (for large openings) and architectural door hardware in a field sales capacity.
- Allocation of time:
- 25% winning specifications with façade consultants, architects, and large opening specialists.
- 25% selling integrated door screens to specialist blind and curtain installers.
- 50% selling architectural hardware to joinery companies, joinery manufacturers, OEMs, fabricators, and joiners.
- Supporting the existing UK sales representative by covering North & Scotland (Scotland visits: 2–3 times per year).
- Driving £500K+ turnover (mutation from existing market).
- 50% of the role focused on new business prospecting.
- 50% focused on managing existing joinery customers (~200accounts, some without dedicated sales support or considered dormant).

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with specifiers, installers, and distribution networks.
- Drive revenue growth through new business development and enhancing existing client relationships.
- Enhance brand recognition within the joinery, façade, and architectural sectors.
- Represent the company at exhibitions or industry events as required.
- Maintain and update business and product knowledge to support both sales and technical requirements.
Essential Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- B2B field sales experience specifically within building products, windows, doors, or facades—preferably in joinery-related areas.
- Demonstrated sales success in selling to contractors/in Installers and directly to specification (e.g., joiners, façade consultants, architects).
- A new business-driven approach with a track record of grower market share.
- Strong technical aptitude and practical, hands-on experience with door hardware and joinery systems.
- Proactive, autonomous ability to manage workload and pursue opportunities.
- A consultative and empathetic style—highly relationship-focused within both technical and aesthetic-focused industries.

Nice-to-Have Attributes
- Preference given to candidates with:
- Experience in door screen specification (large opening specifying).
- Familiarity with construction project cycles and ûtsées pricing.
- Ability to switch seamlessly from technical discussions to client-centred consulting.
