Job Description: Area Sales Manager – Leading Fitness Operator Cumbria Area
Pay: £35,000 per year plus bonus £45,000 OTE.
I am looking for an area sales manager to work for a leading fitness operator based in and around Cumbria and to cover a territory that includes all of Lake Counties and Cumbria. You will be responsible for the commercial performance across 6 centres, leading and supporting the sales and FOH teams to deliver membership growth in fitness and swim lesson sales.
Key Responsibilities
- To meet and exceed monthly area sales targets and KPIs.
- Ensure each site has a robust monthly sales plan to meet their targets and are well resourced to deliver them.
- Coach, support, develop and inspire a team of sales consultants to realise their full potential.
- Regularly review individual and site performance, identify performance gaps & opportunities and implement solutions to mitigate risk and improve sales performance.
- Produce reports and data, working closely with the area management team.
- Responsible for your own rota, expected to work 1 weekend in 3.
- You will work a 40-hr week, 5 days out of 7 and on shifts, you will be expected to work a minimum of 1 weekend a month.

The Ideal Person
- Be a positive person, Inspiring, driven, commercial with a can-do attitude.
- Passionate about fitness and the social value it contributes to the community’s health and wellbeing.
- Highly organised with excellent planning and time management skills.
- Strong on coaching, developing and motivating team members.
- Ideally multi-site sales management experience possibly as a Cluster Manager, Contract Sales Manager or Area Sales Manager.
- Evidence of high performance in previous roles.
- A flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the business.
- Living within commuting distance of the centres, ideally basing yourself at your nearest one.
