The Opportunity
As Area Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for driving sales growth across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, working closely with builder merchants, contractors and other key customers across the construction industry.
This is a relationship-led, commercially focused role. You will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and actively winning new business across the region.
You will become a trusted partner to your customers, understanding their needs and challenges and working with them to provide the right concrete solutions, while ensuring we continue to grow our market share and strengthen our customer base.
- Develop and deliver sales growth across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with builder merchants, contractors and other key customers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region.
- Grow existing customer accounts by understanding their needs and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
- Proactively manage a pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
- Visit customers regularly and develop a strong understanding of their businesses and projects.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a high level of service.
- Provide market insight and feedback to help identify new opportunities and commercial challenges.
- Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals where appropriate.
- Monitor market activity, competitor developments and customer trends.
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue and growth targets.
- Ensure all sales activity is managed in line with company policies and procedures.

We are looking for a confident and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, winning new business and delivering growth.
You will be comfortable working independently across a defined geographical area and will have the drive to develop both existing and new customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within construction, building materials, concrete, aggregates or a related industry.
- A proven track record of growing sales and developing customer relationships.
- Experience working with contractors, builder merchants or other construction-sector customers.
- Strong business development and new business skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities.
- The ability to manage your own diary, territory and sales pipeline effectively.
