Job Title: Area Sales Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: up to £60,000 + Bonus
Contract: Permanent
Role Overview – Area Sales Manager
Our client, a well-established and growing specialist provider of steam and process control solutions, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the North of England. This is a field-based role managing an established territory, developing existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across a wide range of industrial sectors. You’ll play a key role in delivering sustained growth while building strong, long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities – Area Sales Manager
- Manage and develop relationships with existing key accounts
- Identify and maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Generate and convert new business opportunities across the territory
- Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans
- Achieve and exceed agreed revenue and growth targets
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline reporting
- Provide weekly reports on customer visits and sales activity
- Collaborate closely with internal sales and technical support teams
- Represent the business professionally at all times

Key Experience & Qualifications – Area Sales Manager
- B2B Sales experience
- Experience managing a sales territory.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated and target-driven approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.
- Experience within steam systems, valves, process control, fluid handling, instrumentation, or related industries is advantageous.
- Technical sales experience within industrial markets.
- Knowledge of steam and process applications.
