Area Sales Manager – Projects
Job Title: Project Sales Manager
Express Recruitment are working in partnership with a fast-growing, private equity-backed business in the electrical sector with ambitious expansion plans across the UK. As part of this exciting growth journey, they are seeking a Project Sales Manager to play a key role in driving large-scale project sales and strengthening relationships across their customer base.
About the Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will take ownership of identifying and securing major project opportunities, working closely with contractors, specifiers, and existing customers. This is a field-based role covering the North West and Yorkshire regions, with significant opportunity to expand market presence in key areas such as Liverpool, Preston, Leeds, and the wider Yorkshire region.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and secure large-scale project opportunities within both new and existing customer accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, specifiers, wholesalers, and key stakeholders
- Regularly visit customers to uncover future project pipelines and strengthen long-term partnerships
- Manage and track project opportunities using CRM system
- Collaborate with Area Sales Representatives to ensure alignment across smaller and larger project opportunities
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales and gross profit targets
- Provide expert advice across sectors including residential, hospitality, leisure, external, and student accommodation

Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales, commercial, or product-focused role is essential
- Proven track record of delivering and managing large-scale project sales
- Strong technical knowledge, particularly within commercial and industrial lighting applications
- Demonstrable ability to build relationships with contractors, specifiers, and key decision-makers
- Full UK Driving Licence required
