Mute is a trailblazer in adaptable office architecture, redefining workspaces with our innovative Mute Modular system and acoustic pods. We have collaborated with top brands such as Netflix, Microsoft, and L’Oréal to create future-ready, comfortable, and sustainable offices and commercial spaces.

Our dynamic, agile, non-corporate work culture fosters autonomy, confidence and the opportunity for self-realisation in the area of your expertise. We prioritise good team relationships and open, direct communication, focusing on achieving business goals instead of creating unnecessary procedures, writing too many e-mails and organizing numerous meetings.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Area Sales Manager – Distribution Channels (architecture, design & build, furniture or interior design). In this role, you will be responsible for growing Mute’s presence across Uk and Ireland through strategic sales development and strong partner relationships. You will be based in the United Kingdom and collaborate closely with our global commercial team to ensure that our award-winning modular pods and acoustic solutions reach the most influential clients. An essential part of this role is to leverage our London showroom in Clerkenwell, Europe’s largest district for contract showrooms and a hub for architects and specifiers (www.clerkenwellshowrooms.com), to actively demonstrate the functionality and versatility of our products.

What you’ll do:

Drive Mute’s sales growth across UK and Ireland by developing and executing regional go-to-market strategies aligned with global business objectives. Build and expand a strong network of distributors and partners, providing them with the tools and support needed to succeed. Grow a high-value network – develop relationships with architects and design-build firms, expanding our UK footprint and opening new business opportunities. Turn the Clerkenwell showroom into a hub of influence – host inspiring events, product demos and thought-leadership sessions that attract and engage top industry players. Own the regional sales pipeline and revenue targets, ensuring effective forecasting and CRM management in close collaboration with the Global Commercial team. Spot and win opportunities early – stay close to market trends, identify upcoming projects and proactively secure key clients and flagship realizations. Collaborate to deliver impact – work with international teams, architects and ESG experts to create tailored, high-value solutions for the UK market. Be the face of Mute – represent the brand at key events, build visibility and strengthen our position as a market leader. Build relationships where it matters – balance time between client visits, showroom collaboration, industry networking and strategic project coordination to drive opportunities across the UK. Influence strategy with insights – share market intelligence, trends and opportunities to shape Mute’s growth in the UK.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
