Area Sales Manager – Midlands Region
Location: External (Covering the Midlands and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and managing existing accounts across the Midlands and surrounding region. Working externally, you'll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while regularly visiting customers, generating new leads, and representing our business professionally in the field.

Operating from our purpose-built headquarters in Liverpool, we source premium-quality hardwoods directly from Europe, North America, Africa, and the Far East, ensuring our customers receive consistently high-quality products at competitive prices.
Our comprehensive product range is supported by state-of-the-art machining facilities, allowing us to offer bespoke cutting, moulding, and machining services tailored to our customers' individual requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
- Identify and win new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations where required.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and close sales.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and update CRM records.
- Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Preferably living within or close to the Midlands region.
- An experienced sales professional with a proven track record of achieving targets, ideally within the timber, construction, builders' merchant, or related industries.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on the road or from home.
- An excellent communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Organized, proactive, and commercially minded.
- Willing to travel regularly throughout the Midlands and surrounding areas.
- In possession of a full UK driving licence.
