About This Role
Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Municipal Fleet Sales professional looking for your next challenge? This Area Sales Manager role is focused on winning new business within the Waste and Municipal sector, helping customers adopt smarter contract hire and rental solutions across a designated region.
- Generate new business opportunities for Refuse Collection Vehicles and municipal fleet solutions within a designated region.
- Target local authorities, waste management companies, environmental contractors and commercial fleet operators to secure new contracts.
- Convert customers from outright purchase models to rental and contract hire solutions.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to contract award.
- Deliver revenue, fleet utilisation and growth targets through proactive business development activity.
About You
You are a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and winning new business within the Waste and Municipal sector. You understand the challenges faced by local authorities, waste operators and contractors, and you have the credibility to influence senior decision makers and develop long-term partnerships.
- Previous business development or sales experience within the waste, municipal, environmental or specialist fleet sectors.
- Existing relationships within local authorities, waste operators or municipal contractors would be highly advantageous.
- Experience selling contract hire, rental, municipal fleet solutions, RCVs or specialist commercial vehicles.
- Confidence managing long sales cycles, tenders, procurement processes and commercial negotiations.
- Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel throughout your designated territory.

This is a specialist role within the Waste and Municipal industry, and previous sector experience is important. However, if you have transferable experience from municipal vehicles, environmental services, specialist fleet or commercial vehicle sectors, we would still encourage you to apply.
