Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Purpose of the Role

The Purpose of the role of Area Sales Manager is to manage and grow a portfolio of independent electrical wholesalers and some contractors within Scotland. This will be driving sales across all lighting brands in the portfolio. As the customer base grows, the focus will be to drive wallet spend with your key customers as well as bringing on new installers and wholesalers and reopening old dormant branches. You will be selling a range of industrial, commercial and emergency lighting products that range from cost effective and good value items to architectural and high spec lighting solutions. A great variety of brands with a chance to cover many customers. Candidates with experience in lighting, cabling or associated electrical products will do very well or candidates selling to electrical wholesale would be an advantage. Other up and comer technical sales candidates with a desire to break into lighting and be part of a successful team should also apply. Full training and support will be given by team members and the manager. There is strong project and technical support and an established base of spending customers but the opportunity to grow this is huge so a new business energy as well as a good account manager would be the ideal profile here.
