Area Sales & Marketing Coordinator – Field Based – Central London

We're looking for an Area Sales and Marketing Coordinator to support our GMS in an area of 13 pubs in Central London. The successful applicant will report directly to one of our Operations Managers and will be responsible for the delivery of local marketing and engagement across the area and driving our sales culture with a creative licence. You will be working closely with the General Managers of our individual, differentiated businesses, and be responsible for:

  • Digital and Social Marketing (60%)
  • Driving Sales and Marketing Engagement (20%)
  • Supporting Focus Pubs and CAPEX Projects (20%)

The perfect candidate has experience working in hospitality, has a good knowledge of social media and digital systems such as Wordpress, CRM, Collins and has excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Digital and Social Marketing (60%)

  • Ownership of all pub websites within the area ensuring they are high-performing, premium and representative of each pub, including:
    • Making content updates (on Wordpress) ensuring all key marketing campaigns are prominently highlighted and are added and removed in a timely manner, in-line with the central Comms Plan
    • Optimising sites for maximum discoverability across search engines and AI channels, ensuring a smooth user journey throughout the website and funnelling users towards booking
    • Copywriting content that showcases each pub's USPs and balances tone of voice and SEO
    • Ensuring pub teams keep menus and diary pages up to date, the booking flow is up to date to maximise conversion and create new landing pages for key campaigns
    • Where required, supporting with migrating websites onto newer, higher-performing templates

  • Using our CRM system, ensure effective email marketing is sent across the area, including:

    • Overseeing the delivery of 3 email campaigns per pub, per month. Editing and approving campaigns written by the pubs or creating your own.
    • Using data within the system to target emails at certain customers based on their interests and previous booking behaviour
    • Using personalisation to improve the engagement with each campaign
    • Reviewing performance and implementing learnings for continuous improvement
  • The job will also require you to oversee each pub’s social content – working to upskill pub teams and ensuring posting frequency, that content is aligned with campaigns, central comms plans and individual pub visions and that engagement is strong. Alongside this you will also:

    • Organise strategic paid advertising that drives awareness and sales at each pub, with the support of the central team.
    • Maintain Google Business Profiles, ensuring details are correct and images are up to date.
    • Support the organisation of pub photoshoots and being on-site on the day of the shoot to assist with set up.
    • Support the organisation of any influencer visits.
    • Identify opportunities for local advertising, promotion and awareness.

Drive Sales and Marketing Engagement (20%)

  • Lead engagement across central sales and marketing campaigns and support execution of local initiatives, events and reasons to visit.
  • Successfully land and embed key campaigns across the area, ensuring clear alignment with pub visions.
  • Work with your GMS to develop and deliver effective 90 day marketing plans for each pub that drives sales and awareness.

Support Focus Pubs and Capex Projects (20%)

  • Provide focused sales and marketing support for key focus pubs per quarter agreed by OMs, each with clearly defined SMART targets. You will be required to report/present on this quarterly
  • Support and create successful marketing plans for key CAPEX projects, collaborating with the necessary internal and external teams and suppliers to ensure successful launch and performance post opening.

Alongside the responsibilities above, you will also be required to undertake any other duties deemed reasonable and within the scope of the job.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous hospitality experience – and someone who is passionate about pubs!
  • Good knowledge of digital systems; Wordpress, CRM, Collins, social media channels
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with an ability to take responsibility for and manage multiple sites at one time.
  • Great at managing people
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, able to build positive relationships at all levels
