We’re looking for an Area Specification Manager to join our Performance Flooring Team

Field Based – Midlands Region

Job Description

About Sika Flooring

Sika flooring and coating solutions are used in various function areas in buildings and facilities, for example for industrial floors with mechanical and chemical resistance, food industry walls with hygienic requirements, floors and walls in clean room environments, and decorative floors and walls in commercial and residential buildings.

Understanding needs and delivering market leading flooring systems from specification to site to ensure the best value for our partners.

Purpose of the Role

To achieve sales of the company's Flooring products through focus on specification via strong customer relationships. To deliver sales and profitability for a specific geographical area in line with the business plan

What’s In it for You?

The Opportunity:

  • To achieve pre-agreed sales targets and KPI’s by gaining specifications and building strong relationships with Flooring contractor customers
  • To identify potential new specialist contractor customers
  • Carry out technical CPD/seminars to actively promote Sika's range of solutions
  • To promote new product introductions in line with the presented long term business plan and strategy
  • To promote and identify opportunities for TM Flooring as well as other target markets
  • To be up to date of all competitor activity within the specified area

Qualifications

What we need from you?

  • Minimum 4 years commercial experience in a sales or technical role, ideally within the construction sector.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to plan the specification sales process and appreciate all technical and commercial angles
  • Effective communicator, self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to maximise sales opportunities within existing customer base as well as identifying new customers
  • Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently and produce and deliver reports effectively with strong IT and organisational skills
