About the Role
Are you looking for a role that combines variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to deliver exceptional nursing care across practices in your local area? We are seeking a confident RVN to join inspiring vet care on a full-time basis as an Area Veterinary Nurse, working clinically across a bespoke network of practices centred around your home location. This is a fixed-term contract expected to last 12 months, with real potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right person.
The role focuses on flexibly delivering high-quality general nursing care and ensuring our teams are fully supported during busy periods, staff absence, or increased clinical demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across multiple practices, offering variety and reward.
- Collaborate with veterinary surgeons and the wider inspiring vet care team.
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients.
- Support excellent client experiences.
- Contribute to clinical standards and the ongoing development of patient care.
- Admit and discharge patients, run nurse clinics, and provide preventative healthcare advice.
- Assist with surgical procedures, diagnostics, laboratory work, imaging, and inpatient care.
- Maintain accurate records, dispense prescriptions, and support reception duties.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, Health & Safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, equipment care, stock control, and clinical waste disposal.
- Support and train Student Veterinary Nurses and carry out Schedule Three procedures.
- Participate in rota commitments, stock takes, appraisals, and general practice support duties.

Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Area Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
- Experience working in clinical practice.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Good organizational skills and effective workload management.
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.
- Enthusiasm for working dynamically across multiple practices.

Salary

Up to £35,000 DOE + £375 car allowance per month
