Argos Shift Manager
Shift Manager – Argos
About the Role
Argos Shift Managers are responsible for managing shifts within our Argos stores, inspiring and motivating teams and serving as the designated support advocates for on-the-job needs. They coach colleagues in-store to ensure all team members deliver outstanding customer experiences while actively participating in floor operations.
Shift Managers often lead full store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, including:
- Allocating resources effectively for day-to-day tasks
- Organising the warehouse
- Receiving deliveries
- Serving customers

Essential Criteria
- A proven track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching others to maintain high standards
- Experience in:
- Motivating teams effectively
- Driving sales and performance
- Ensuring smooth operational efficiency
- A commitment to making shopping easy, fast, and friendly for every customer
- Operational leadership skills, including:
- Taking responsibility for operations during management unavailability
- Success in meeting or exceeding KPIs, such as:
- Sales performance
- Inventory availability
- Customer satisfaction scores
- Colleague engagement metrics
- Commitment to maintaining standards and acting as a role model for service and organisational values
