Art Director

Job Title: Art Director

Location: Remote – UK (travel) Salary: £40,000–£50,000 pa Job Ref: 40823

Overview

We’re partnering with a well-established, independent healthcare communications agency to find a talented Art Director to join their growing creative team.

This agency works with global healthcare brands to deliver insight-led, creatively ambitious work that drives real behavioural change and measurable impact. They’re known for blending strategy, science, and creativity—and are now looking for an Art Director who can push visual standards and bring ideas to life across multiple channels.

The Role

Working closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams, you’ll develop compelling creative ideas and ensure they are translated into high-quality, effective assets across digital, print, and motion.

You’ll play a key role in elevating creative standards, ensuring consistency of ideas, and delivering work that not only looks great but performs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong visual concepts in response to client briefs
  • Present creative work clearly and persuasively to internal teams and clients
  • Translate ideas into clear executional briefs for designers and production teams
  • Oversee creative output to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with the original idea
  • Contribute hands-on to design and asset creation where required
  • Provide feedback and direction to designers to elevate overall output
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated campaigns
  • Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and innovations within healthcare marketing
  • Build effective working relationships with suppliers, talent, and production partners

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an Art Director within an agency environment (healthcare experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and high-quality execution across multiple channels
  • Ability to take ideas from concept through to delivery
  • Confident presenter, able to articulate and sell creative ideas
  • Strong understanding of digital, print, and motion design principles
  • High attention to detail and commitment to creative excellence
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Proactive mindset with a strong interest in innovation and emerging trends
