This role can be based in London, Paris, Milan or Madrid
Amazon XCM is looking for a hands-on Art Director to join our Customer Engagement team in Europe. This is an ideas-first role for a creative who loves making the work as much as thinking it. You'll develop concepts and bring them to life across social, motion, digital, OOH and customer engagement campaigns that reach millions of customers across Europe.
We're looking for someone who is socially native, passionate about visual storytelling and excited by creating work across multiple channels and formats. You'll be designing, art directing and crafting creative yourself while partnering closely with copywriters, marketers and fellow creatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
As part of Amazon XCM, you'll help shape customer-facing campaigns that inspire discovery, engagement and loyalty, while continually raising the creative bar.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop creative concepts and visual ideas that solve customer and business problems across acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns.
- Create integrated campaigns across social, motion, digital, OOH, display, CRM and emerging customer touchpoints.
- Take ideas from concept through to final execution, remaining hands-on throughout the creative process.
- Design scalable creative systems and campaign assets that can be adapted efficiently across multiple European markets, languages and formats.
- Create high-quality visual design and motion assets that balance exceptional craft with speed and scalability.
- Partner closely with copywriters, creative directors, marketers, programme managers and production teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Translate customer insights, social behaviours and emerging trends into compelling creative work.
- Present and communicate creative thinking clearly to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining a high creative standard.
- Champion creative excellence, helping raise the quality of work across the team while continuously exploring new tools, workflows and AI-enabled creative opportunities.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing ambiguity, pace and changing priorities while consistently delivering high-quality work.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing modular creative systems or templates that support high-volume digital production
- Experience creating motion or social-native creative for performance-driven digital campaigns
- Strong understanding of motion design, vertical video and platform-specific creative formats
- Ability to collaborate effectively with copy and campaign creative partners
