Role Overview
The Art Director will play a central role in bringing the Chelsea Peers brand to life through compelling visual storytelling across ecommerce, campaigns and key marketing channels.
Working in close partnership with the Head of Creative & Design, they will lead the creative development of campaigns from concept through to execution, shaping compelling visual ideas, art direction and storytelling that bring the Chelsea Peers brand to life. They will own the creative development and execution of photography, videography and visual content across website, email, paid social and key brand activations, ensuring every output is creatively distinctive, commercially effective and aligned with the wider brand vision.
Creative Development
- Partner with the Head of Creative & Design to develop and evolve creative direction into compelling concepts, art direction and visual storytelling across ecommerce, campaigns and key marketing channels.
- Lead the creative development of projects from initial concept through to final creative approval, ensuring all work reflects the Chelsea Peers brand vision.
- Develop engaging visual narratives across photography and video that bring campaigns, collections and brand stories to life.
- Create channel-first creative concepts and storyboards for ecommerce, paid social, CRM and wider marketing campaigns.
- Contribute to copy and messaging where appropriate, or collaborate with copywriters and the wider marketing team to ensure messaging supports the creative vision.
- Identify opportunities to push creative thinking by introducing new visual approaches, storytelling techniques and content formats that strengthen the Chelsea Peers brand.
Campaign & Shoot Leadership
- Lead the creative direction of ecommerce and campaign shoots, translating campaign objectives into compelling visual concepts, art direction and shot lists.
- Present creative concepts and recommendations covering photography, videography, casting, locations, styling and creative treatments to stakeholders for review and approval.
- Lead creative direction on set, ensuring the agreed vision is executed to the highest standard while collaborating closely with the production team to ensure smooth delivery.
- Review image and video selects, providing creative feedback to ensure final assets align with the brand vision, campaign objectives and channel requirements.
- Work closely with photographers, videographers, stylists and the production team throughout the shoot process to achieve the strongest creative outcome.
- Take ownership of the visual quality of all shoot outputs, making confident creative decisions throughout pre-production, production and post-production.

Collaboration & Creative Alignment
- Work in close partnership with the Head of Creative & Design to shape, evolve and deliver the Chelsea Peers creative vision across every touchpoint.
- Collaborate with the wider Marketing, Ecommerce and Production teams to develop integrated creative solutions that support both brand and commercial objectives.
- Partner with designers, editors and external creatives to bring concepts to life across photography, video and digital content.
- Present creative concepts and rationale confidently to senior stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining the integrity of the creative vision.
- Provide creative guidance and constructive feedback to designers, editors and production teams throughout projects to ensure the highest creative standards are maintained.
Creative Consistency & Quality Control
- Ensure all outputs meet brand standards and maintain a consistent visual identity across every customer touchpoint.
- Review creative assets throughout the production process to ensure alignment with campaign objectives, channel requirements and brand guidelines.
- Champion best-in-class creative storytelling, ensuring content remains relevant, engaging and channel-appropriate.
- Continuously explore new creative approaches, content formats, technologies and industry trends to push creative boundaries and elevate the Chelsea Peers brand.
- Champion creative excellence across the business, ensuring every customer touchpoint reflects a premium, distinctive and consistent brand experience.

Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in art direction and creative leadership within fashion.
- Proven experience developing and delivering creative across ecommerce, campaigns, photography, video and multi-channel marketing.
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual storytelling across photography, video and digital content.
- Strong understanding of styling, casting, composition, photography and videography.
- Strong understanding of paid social creative, including concepts and storyboards for both brand storytelling and performance marketing.
- Experience leading both ecommerce and campaign shoots from concept through to delivery.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret feedback, balance multiple stakeholder perspectives and make confident creative decisions while maintaining creative integrity.
- Experience collaborating with photographers, stylists, videographers, editors and other external creative partners.
- Strong understanding of how creative can drive both brand building and commercial performance across digital channels.
- Copywriting skills desirable but not essential
